Ebony is a dense black hardwood. It is finley-textured and has a very smooth finish when polished as in our straps.
Modern uses are typically seen in small craft items and musical instrument parts.
About the Solano Style
Our popular Solano strap design is recognized for its flat-sided hardwood composition, which emphasizes the rich grain variations in each individual piece. Enjoy the exact design chosen by Carlos Santana for his Rolling Stone cover and his "Smooth" video with Matchbox 20's Rob Thomas.
The Solano style is characterized by 2.25-inch wide wood sections, each composed of individual pieces that are impeccably polished for a smooth touch and refined look.
The wood pieces making up the strap are about half the size of its "chunkier" Revo counterpart, but the weight distribution is very similar.
Based on feedback and customer photos, the Black Solano goes great with white, black, and red guitars/bass (and many more).
All of our straps are adjustable in length from 43″ up to 55″ from button to button. Our strap tails feature three eyelets, and can also be located at several different lengths along the end of the strap to offer the most flexibility.
Natural variations in each piece of wood makes every strap literally one-of-a-kind.
