In our world, there isn't a need for 3.5 inch memory foam padded straps.
Our straps use 2 braided cords rated for 250lbs as the structure of our straps. Your instruments weight is evenly distributed across each wood piece. Some say it's even like getting a massage while playing!
Plyable materials such as leather and nylon will naturally distribute weight along the center line. This leads to faster shoulder fatigue and sometimes the strap will even "canoe" on the edges.
