What a beautiful work of art that feels great on my shoulder! I've tried all kinds of straps - wide leather, neoprene, air cell padded - but none of them felt as good as this wooden strap. You can feel the support along the whole width of the strap which gives my bass a very solid, balanced feel. Even though my bass has a bit of neck dive, this strap magically keep it from diving without pulling my on my shirt like a suede backed strap. Living out in the desert, the wood and the gaps between keep my shoulder nice and cool as well. Everything is top quality and the leather is robust, probably the thickest I've ever had on a strap. While it takes some elbow grease to get it over your strap button, once installed, it is super secure. I plan to leave it on all the time and bought a second Black Gordo for my backup bass.
